Good place for buck-a-shuck but I was most impressed by their kalbi. It was cooked perfectly, marinated well and had a good portion for the price. We also tried their honey butter chips which were a good snack. We tried one of their sushi rolls and while good, wasn't anything to truly be wowed about. See my other reviews on other sushi places I'd prefer versus trying sushi here again. We also tried some of their drinks which were also good but may just stick with pop next time. This place is good for shareable snacks and has great service.

Great food! The music is a bit loud but its nice for group outings! They also have 1 oysters on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Theres 2 different types offered, both taste fresh! Their sushi and beef ribs are also really good!

First time I’ve been to this location, I have to say that their food quality is pretty consistent throughout 3 locations. The only thing I am not really a fan of is Beef yukke, it has been marinate for too long that makes the beef really salty.

The photo was from last year in August 2024, but a favourite of my staff! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. Oysters are always a hit, ebi mayo, oven roasted oysters, sushi and fries! My staff devoured all the food . My all time favourite is the honey bread ( always a must when going)!

They finally came downtown! Planned a 3 person birthday dinner here and there was no room for disappointment. The staff pay attention & are also friendly / personable. It’s the spot for a date, celebration, and just a quick evening bite. They’ve got buck a shuck on Tuesdays & Wednesdays and the must try is their honey bread. They’ve got a large patio that was going to open (haven’t been there since to check it out) but the interior decoration is classy, chic, but not overly done where you can’t go in with casual attire and not feel comfortable. Pictures don’t do it justice ! Check it out for yourself! They also have other locations uptown if that’s easier for you!

I’ve been going to Nome at their uptown location for years and I can say that this new location is very consistent in quality and taste (maybe even better!) compared to their other locations! Upon being seated, we were promptly greeted by our server who was super pleasant and patient while taking our orders. He was very helpful in explaining to my friend how to do a sake bomb, as it was his first time! We loved it so much we did it a second time! As we visited on a Wednesday evening it was buck-a-shuck (oysters for 1/pc)! They only had one option to choose from, but despite that the oysters were fresh and flavourful with a large variety of sauces and garnished to choose from. My favourite dish of the night had to be the ebi-katsu sliders! Oh my goodness the crunch of the katsu bread paired with the tender shrimp and mayo sauce—delicious! Unfortunately, I was not a big fan of the nome fried chicken as it was too over fried and dry, the sauce was also too spicy for my liking. Overall, this was a very positive and enjoyable dining experience—all the servers were very attentive from filling water glasses, to swapping out plates after our meals. I’d highly recommend making a visit to Nome if you’re in the area!
